If you have a regular commute, why not volunteer to start a new Bike Bus, to share the joy?  Even one day a week is fine.  The Bike Bus project will help you out with a Bike Bus Driver Kit, including training, operational guidelines, Bike Bus vests and promotional posters and flyers.

Get in touch with me via info@bikebus.org.au or 0403 821 374.

You could ride past West Ryde to Meadowbank then accross the John Whitton Bridge, past Rhodes shops, through Sydney Olympic Park, over the M4 overpass and join the Homebush - City bike bus.  I do it fairly regularly.
It wouldn't be the shortest way but it's fairly low stress.

Does anyone regularly ride (ie commute) to Sydney city via Turramurra?  I am thinking of commuting this route starting in December '07, if anyone rides this do they have any tips for the best time to ride (there and back) and is there an existing bike bus?  Thx,

I ride from Artarmon to corner George & King St, Sydney once or twice a week. I aim to leave just before 7am and arrive at work just before 7.30am if anyone wants to join me. I am keen to increase my fitness and show anyone the way I go or learn a better route.

I've just started riding from Denistone to Pyrmont via Top Ryde, Buffalo Road, Ryde Road, onto Gladesville Bridge, along Vic Road to Anzac Bridge, ending in Pyrmont.  15km at an average of about 20km/h.

I'm trying to do it 3 days a week at the moment.

I pass Top Ryde just before 6.30am I think.  Reverse route starts at corner of Harris and Allen Streets sometime after 5.15pm.

It's an empty bus so far, but happy to collect passengers / share the driving  Tongue
